How to reach la Commanderie ?
We are located at the South-east of Grenoble at only 10 minutes from the centre of Grenoble and close to the main economic and touristi area. You will find below some informations which will help you on the way to come.

In car

Arriving from LYON by the highway :
 - Take Highway to Grenoble (Follow Blue Signs, NOT GREEN)
- About 30 Kms from Lyon airport (just after ‘ Bourgoin exit) - the highway divides in 2 - make sure you stay onto the right inside ( Grenoble direction)
- After last toll, follow " Grenoble centre/ Toutes Directions"
- Leave Highway at exit ” Highway to Chambéry (N87)” you will then be on ‘ Rocade Sud ‘
- Leave ‘ Rocade Sud ‘ at exit n° 5 ‘ EYBENS ‘
- at the traffic lights turn right.
- You will come across 3 traffic lights and see an ESSO gas station.
-JUST AFTER ESSO GAS STATION turn right, drive 300 meters and you will then see the hotel entrance on your left side.

Arriving from GENEVA - CHAMBÉRY by the highway: After toll, follow “Grenoble”.
- Take Highway to Grenoble (Follow Blue Signs, NOT GREEN)
- After last toll, follow ‘ Grenoble ‘ direction
- Leave Highway at exit ‘ Sisteron / Rocade Sud ‘ - you will then be on ‘ Rocade Sud ‘
- Leave ‘ Rocade Sud ‘ at exit n° 5 ‘ EYBENS ‘
- at the stop turn left.
- You will come across 3 traffic lights and see an ESSO gas station.

-JUST AFTER ESSO GAS STATION turn right, drive 300 meters and you will then see the hotel entrance on your left side.

 

Arriving from the "Cote d'Azur" by GAP and the Napoleon Road:

You could stop at the "prairie de la rencontre" to admire the place and the statue of Napoleon.
After that,you will arrive on Vizille by the RN 85. Carry on straight until the centre of Vizille.
In front of the Castle, follow the main road (do not take the small tunnel on the right in direction of Uriage) in direction of Brie and Angonnes, then remain on this road until Eybens.
In bottom of the great descent, pass a traffic light (Football stadium on your right) for Grenoble. Still pass a trafic light, then, at the 3rd traffic light, turn left (between station ESSO, and the restaurant Rustique Auberge) in direction of Echirolles.
Drive on 300 meters and you will see the entrance of the hotel on your left.

Exiled in the Isle of Elba in 1814, Napoleon Bonaparte decides to return to the French political life. One year later, the 1st March, he lands at Golfe Juan

He chooses to go to Lyon by the mountains and thus to avoid resistances of the royalist cities.

The Napoleon Road is the part which connects Golfe Juan to Grenoble, via Grasse, Digne and Gap. He succeeded in crossing324 km in 6 days and on March 20 it returned to Paris, (more…)

 

By train 

SNCF railway station is in the center of Grenoble (tel 08 91 67 68 69 or 04.76.28.64 .17). To reach our hotel, you can :
- take a taxi (from 19 € to 25 €). (There is a special lane for taxis in front of the station) or to rent a car (click on “useful telephones”). It is a 15 minutes drive.
- take the Bus n° 31 (1.50 €): direction Eybens - Bresson and to stop at “Javaux”. It takes approximately 40 minutes. Click HERE to see the map of the Bus line.
