Guide of charm
At five kilometers from the centre of Grenoble and at half an hour from the first skiing resorts, this old hospitalery of the knights of Malta ensures a very quiet place.
In the rooms, modern comfort and antic furnitures are part of the charm of the place.
Each morning, the breakfast is served in a splendid breakfast room with the XVIIIéme's woodworks decorated with antics, marble fireplace and ancestors paintings.
There, or outside, under the pergola on the terrace, you will appreciate the limpid and subtle cooking of Rui Rouxinol.
Castles & Hotels of France
This former residence of the knights of Malta provides a warm atmosphere, antique furniture, 18th-century wood-panelling, Aubusson tapestries, and a cooking that is in tune with the place and the seasons. Each room has its own style, with all modern comforts ... all only ten minutes from the centre of Grenoble.
Bottin Gourmand
This house is closely linked to the history of the Dauphiné. Property of the family Perier who counts famous members like Casimir Perier, former Prime Minister of Louis-Philippe, this noble residence is still today as well as it succeeds to offer best comfort and the modern equipment as well as cultivating the most led in refined rooms.
Gallimard “Isere”
If you like true castles with portraits of ancestors and pieces of antics furniture, here a XVIéme residence at the doors of Grenoble which still belongs to the families of Beaumont and Perier (the latter having accommodated the States Généraux of Dauphine in 1788 in its castle of Vizille, built by Lesdiguières and become precisely museum of the Revolution.
The cooking, where Rui Rouxinol officiates, is one of most classically refined of the area.
Far from the noisy city, a heaven of serenity and good taste with swimming pool and closed carpark.

Grand it appears, and some of the makers of that grandeur - Knights Templar and Maltese, princes and prime ministers, presidents and financiers - look down upon you as you eat in the magnificent dining room, a favourite restaurant for the discerning palates of Grenoble. But the atmosphere is of an intimate family-run hotel. The whole place is awash with family antiques and heirlooms, good taste prevails in every room and flowers add that touch of life and genuine attention. Bedrooms are divided among four separate buildings, adding to the sense of intimacy. Rooms in château and chalet are the more traditional with carved wooden beds and gilt-framed mirrors, though some of them give onto a small road. The orangerie's rooms, as you'll discover once you have negotiated the rather plain corridors, look out over fine parkland, and are deliciously peaceful. The least expensive rooms are in the Petit Pavillon, on the road side. But whichever you choose, you will feel thoroughly pampered, and it's excellent value for families.

A light and refined cooking by Rui Rouxinol. At la Commanderie, closely related to the glorious history of Dauphiné, he declines his talent all along the menus of Templiers, the Knights of Malta, in connection with the story of the family de Beaumont.
